A seed-funded mobile game studio building casual puzzle games with progression, renovation and decoration mechanics is hiring a UI/UX Designer to own end-to-end player experience design, from early flows and wireframes to polished, developer-ready UI in Figma.
We need a UI/UX Designer to make easy-to-use, polished player experiences for casual mobile puzzle games played around the world. Our games mix puzzle gameplay with progression, renovation and decoration, like the top titles in the casual puzzle genre. You'll own the experience end to end: early player flows and wireframes, polished UI, and specs developers can build from. You should be good at both UX thinking and visual UI, and understand how progression, rewards, events and monetization fit together in a successful F2P mobile game.
Design full player journeys and game flows for onboarding, gameplay, progression, renovation, rewards, events, shops and other F2P systems.
Make wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes and polished high-fidelity UI in Figma.
Design game interfaces that are easy to use and look good: HUDs, menus, pop-ups, buttons, icons, rewards, boosters and progression screens.
Build and maintain reusable UI components, design systems and visual guidelines so the game stays consistent.
Work with Game Design, Product, Art and Development to take features from concept to implementation.
Run playtests, spot usability issues and iterate using player feedback, analytics and behavioral data.
Make sure designs work across mobile devices and screen sizes, and within Unity's implementation limits.
3+ years of UI/UX design experience, ideally in mobile games.
A portfolio showing mobile UI/UX, player flows, wireframes, prototypes and polished final screens.
Solid Figma skills, including components, variants, libraries and prototyping.
Good understanding of interaction design, information architecture, visual hierarchy, layout, typography, color and iconography.
Understanding of mobile F2P player journeys: onboarding, progression, rewards, currencies, offers and retention loops.
You've worked closely with game designers, product managers, artists and developers.
You can balance visual polish, usability and gameplay clarity for international mobile players.
Casual, puzzle, match-3, renovation or decoration games.
Designing progression, rewards, boosters, shops, events, LiveOps and monetization flows.
Unity UI workflows, responsive layouts and developer handoff.
UI motion, transitions, micro-interactions and reward animations.
Using analytics, usability testing and player data to improve UX.
Hands-on use of AI-assisted design and rapid prototyping.
A strong portfolio is a must. We especially want to see player flows, wireframes, F2P game systems, final UI screens, and how your designs went from the original problem to what actually shipped.
