Talent Manager

Senior

A long-established Indian film studio, one of the industry's largest production and distribution houses. Known for decades of mainstream cinema, a strong talent roster, and ventures spanning film, TV, and music.

About the Role

A Manager is the face and shadow of any Artist. They have the ability to reshape and reconstruct their Artists' image. Manager ensures artist focus is only on his role and acting / or his music (if the artist is a musician) / or writing & direction while everything else is taken care by the manager.

Become a "Go-to" person who not only does all this for the sake of the job but feels for the artist and demonstrates extreme pride in managing and representing the artist. Have the pulse of market and update artist on recent developments in the industry. Advise them on pros and cons basis the market intelligence and their network. Always have their best interest at heart. Demonstrate empathy and sympathy at all times. They are responsible for identifying talents strengths, working on their weakness, ensuring the artist puts his / her best foot forward. Manage an artist's calendar, schedule, logistics and plan their life better. Check contracts, read scripts, manage payments, learn their likes and dislikes, be on their speed dial. To sum up – manager is a family.

Representing our Exclusive Artist(s) or the Artists Assigned

  • Manager's role doesn't only involve planning and managing, the first step to management is to help increase the frequency of work by managing and optimising the artist time.

  • Week on week planning and keep updating on status upcoming projects + scheduling of the calendar.

  • Building a personal rapport with the Artist(s) to understand their personality & culture of working.

  • Executing shoots, travel, commissioned jobs and logistical requirements for the talent.

  • Read scripts to give a summary or the role. Set up audition for the artist(s) if required with casting agents.

  • Facilitate booking all deals for Artist(s), from quotations, legal formalities to complete on-ground management.

  • Maintain their calendar. Follow-up on prospects or open queries regularly.

  • Carrying out all the productions coordination for the Artist(s) for all the shoots and events.

  • Maintain relationship with all stakeholders and fill in the artist.

  • Be a problem solver and possess presence of mind – be solution driven.

  • Envisage the vision of the artist and move in the direction to achieve that.

  • Help them build and expand their network.

  • Competition analysis.

  • Strategize, Execute, plan and liaison with PR/ Journos.

  • Offer support while also have a steady demeanour in the course of dealing with artists with a diverse set of personality traits.

  • Observe the confidentiality of the information, be discreet, private finances, dealings and relationships relating to the artist.

  • Manage and engage with a huge number of contacts within the manager's own professional networks.

  • Build a road map for the concerned talent evaluating the existing talent's position and market competition, planning the upwards strategy to a growth ladder and executing the same along with the PR and Brands teams.

  • Deep research on prospective Artist(s) and using strong interpersonal skills to build rapport.

  • Talent / Artist Managers also initiate contacts with individuals and organizations that may help in the promotion of their Artist(s) career – Film / Ad World / Brand Association / Web-Series / Music Shows / Performances / Events.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Capacity for creative thinking.

  • Well-spoken and a confident character is necessary.

  • Honest & should have integrity towards work.

  • Minimum of 4/6 years of experience for Celebrity / Artist / Brand / Event Management is necessary.

  • Candidate should be adaptable to manage tight deadlines and work under pressure.

  • It is suitable if the candidate has prior knowledge of marketing strategies.

  • The candidate will need to have an understanding of business and accounting practices.
